The Chiral Center grew out of a frustration I shared with many of my students: finding resources that bring the whole subject together. Some textbooks offer plenty of detail, but their language and presentation don’t connect with a modern audience. Lecture slides and study guides can leave students without enough explanation or practice to work independently. Students would come to me after supplementing those materials with scattered YouTube videos and webpages about individual reactions, still feeling they lacked the tools to succeed. Often, half my job was creating the resource they needed and then walking them through how to use that resource. I wanted students to have both the depth needed to understand the chemistry and a comprehensive overview that helped them see how the pieces fit together—all presented in a way that feels accessible, engaging, and relevant to how students learn today.
